This Week’s Video Post #5

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Today I saw a great band play live right in front of my face. Literally it was in front of my face because I was sitting in the front row at the Apple Store SoHo as Dr. Dog blew up a computer store. Playing a retail store is always weird no matter how you slice it, as I discovered over the past year and a half touring Apple Stores across the country. Still, their energy was inspiring and made me want to rock out with a band again… think I will as a matter of fact. However, for this week’s video post a duet will have to do. This is from my recent trip to Chicago when I stopped by the well known recording studio Chicago Recording Company and shot this live video with a old friend from Texas. Here is the first sneak peek into the upcoming album with a new song. Hope you enjoy!
Stay tuned…

This Week’s Video Post! #4

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Right now I am sitting on a veranda of what used to be an elegant hotel back in the 1920’s. I am fortunate enough to be staring out at Lake Michigan, while I am working on new tracks for my upcoming album and embarking on a new project called The Dirty Pinatas- a dance/DJ/remix electronic project with my good friend CJ “The Devil’s DJ”. Chicago is at the precipice of what seems like will be a great spring and I can’t wait to come back when I can take a kayak right into the lake after an afternoon of drinking. In other news this week’s video post is “Easy Fit” off the EP “A Kid On 4th”. It was shot live at The Riverhouse in New York- I wore a suit for the occasion. Stay tuned there is more to come…

THIS WEEK’S VIDEO POST! #3

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

As part of my ongoing weekly video posting for 2010, I am continuing this week with a song from “A Kid On 4th”. Over the last 2 weeks a dear friend and I have been shooting live videos for a handful of songs in choice locations around New York City. This week’s posting is a video for the song “What It Is” and we were fortunate enough to have a nice stretch of time on NYC’s newest city park The Highline. At some point the wind decided to have an epic battle with me through the ending of the song… still not sure who won
